Business Broadband from Cymru 1 - Broadband with a personal touch

As we mentioned on the introductory page, with Cymru1's Connect 247 Business Broadband packages you don't get a run of the mill ordinary broadband connection - you get a very high quality connection with no "traffic management", You also get a very personal service that means that if anything should ever go wrong with your connection we will do our best to get it fixed as soon as possible as long as it is within our power to do so.

Business Broadband Requirements

Because we move heaven and earth to keep any downtime to an absolute minimum and because we offer a personal touch, we only offer our Business Broadband products to companies who have a certain level of in-house IT knowledge.

The requirements include being able to supply and configure your own router, understanding the basics of how broadband works (and what it's limitations are, especially in terms of download and upload speeds and what can affect them), how FTTC, FTTH/FTTP differ in terms of where the fibre connection ends, and being willing and able to conduct any diagnostic steps that might be required in order to get to the bottom of a fault.

If your company does not meet the requirements we have outlined then our Business Broadband products are not the right solution for you.

Business Broadband Price List

The prices of our Business broadband products are significantly higher than those of conventional products. This reflects the quality of the product and the support service that we offer.

ADSL-1 based products:

Business Broadband Max Premium
Up to twice the upload speeds of our Business Broadband Max Standard product under ideal conditions.
£50 + VAT including 50Gbytes per month data transfer, £2 + VAT per Gigabyte thereafter. Downloading over 100Gigabytes per month will be severely frowned upon and if you do so we reserve the right to ask you to migrate to a different ISP or to limit the speed of your connection!

Business Broadband Max Standard
£30 + VAT including 50Gbytes per month data transfer, £2 + VAT per Gigabyte thereafter. Downloading over 100Gigabytes per month will be severely frowned upon and if you do so we reserve the right to ask you to migrate to a different ISP or to limit the speed of your connection!

Connection, Cease and Migration Charges
There is a one-off connection charge of £40 + VAT per line for new connections (i.e. not Migrations)

If you with to completely cancel a broadband connection (i.e. you do not migrate it to a different ISP) then there is a £40 + VAT cease charge per line.

If you wish to Migrate an existing broadband connection from a different supplier to Cymru 1 then there is a Migration charge of £30 + VAT per line.

An installation charge of £40 + VAT applies to all services.

An FTTC-compatible Ethernet Router is required (not included in installation charge). Please contact us for details.

Fibre 100 data transfer over 100Gbytes per month: £1 + VAT per Gbyte

Unlimited monthly transfer means there is no limit on the amount of data you can transfer each month. There is no hidden "small print" limit either (e.g. a Fair Usage Limit). No Traffic Shaping is applied by Cymru 1.

Download Max Theoretical and Upload Max Theoretical speeds are, of course, only the maximum theoretical data transfer speeds that are possible under absolutely ideal circumstances. Actual data transfer speeds will therefore be lower due to the technical limitations of the technology. The peak time (8pm to 10pm) average speeds achievable by at least 50% of users on our wholesale supplier's network on these packages is 63Mbit/sec for downloads, and 17Mbit/sec for uploads. We will provide you with a speed estimate based on your actual line characteristics before we proceed with your order.

ADSL2+ [Annex M] / FTTH / FTTP/ G.Fast and EFM Products:

Please contact us for a quote for ADSL2+, FTTH, FTTP, G.Fast and EFM products.

Payment terms:

You will be expected to pay quarterly or annually by standing order. Monthly payments are possible, but only by prior arrangement and will attract an additional 10% service fee. Over-usage beyond any inclusive data transfer allowance will be invoiced for as necessary in the month following the one in which the over-usage occurred.
