About Cymru 1:

Founded in 2001, Cymru 1 is a family owned and run telecommunications business based in Porthmadog, Gwynedd, North Wales. "Cymru" is the Welsh word for "Wales". It is pronounced "COME-REE" and not "CWM-REE" nor "SIM-ROO"

At our launch we concentrated on providing simple 0845-based dial-up internet access, web site design, domain name registration and hosting services to customers based in Wales but quickly found that people from other parts of the UK were signing up for our products and services.

Our customer base is now spread throughout the UK and we even have customers in other parts of the world including the USA, the Middle East and Africa. We have also expanded our product range to include Broadband Internet access, low cost telephone calls services, 0870, 0845, 0871 and 0800 non-geographic number services and Unmetered (no call charges) dial-up internet access.

All our products and services are available to customers throughout the UK, and many are available to customers throughout the world.
